The combination of very cold temperatures and a steady northwest wind will produce wind chills from -5 to -15 degrees through Monday morning, according to the NWS.

These temperatures could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken.

For those traveling or outside, it is still recommended to watch out for slippery conditions and cold temperatures.

The Ohio Emergency Management Agency and NWS activated the Ohio Alert Traveler System for the Dayton and Columbus areas due to the winter weather where select digital signs in the area will show information about the weather throughout the weekend.

Level one snow emergency alerts have been issued for Butler, Greene, Clark, Champaign, Preble and Warren counties, which means roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads are icy and people should drive very cautiously.
